Edmond Sumner Worked Out For Nets Day Before Wedding

Former Indiana Pacers guard Edmond Sumner worked out for the Brooklyn Nets and is set to make a return to their roster.

It seems that the guard has been working really hard on his game this offseason.

Nets insider Brian Lewis of The New York Post reports that Sumner has been working hard on his skills this offseason, even working out the day before his wedding.

Sumner’s trainer Mike Robertson discussed his work ethic this summer.

“Ed is just the most pro’s pro you’re going to meet, in the sense that he doesn’t miss days. This guy trains, literally; this guy trained the Thursday before his wedding. He got married on a Friday, came in Sunday before he left for his honeymoon,” Robertson told the Post. “He just doesn’t miss days. He doesn’t skip workouts. That’s a testament to who he is and the kind of guy that you’re getting there. He’s just a great human being. He’s going to punch the clock. He’s going to continue to not just work hard for himself but to lift the others up around him. And he’s just a world-class human being. [Nets fans] are going to love him.”

Nets fans should expect a big jump in development for the Sumner.

Edmond Sumner was originally drafted 52nd overall by the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2017 NBA draft.

He eventually made his debut with the Pacers on April 10th, 2018, and has averaged 5.7 points, 1.1 assists, and 1.5 rebounds per game.
